What Images Exemplify CV Excellence?

Sports, Academics, Activities, Friendships....
Announcing the CVExcellence Photo Contest, open to anyone
in the CV community.

Prizes: The winning photos will be featured on the CV Excellence web
site and CV Excellence Materials and a framed copy will be displayed in
the CV Lobby. The winner will receive one of several prizes.

Judging Criteria: Each Photo will be judged on composition, clarity, subject
matter, and most importantly, how well it exemplifies Crescent Valley
High School’s Commitment to Excellence.

Photo Deadline: March 13th. Winners will be announced April 1st.
Photos can be submitted digitally to
photos@CVExcellence.org
or prints can be submitted to the box in the main office

Contest Requirements:
1. Photos must be taken in the 2008/2009 Academic year and be of a CV Event, Activity, Sport, Campus, or Class.
2. All photos must have the entry form/release Download form submitted along with them
3. Only three photos per entrant
4. Subjects must be appropriate for school use, and should follow guidelines of respect for self and others

Photos will be judged by the CV Excellence Team, including Cherie Stroud, Katherine Cleland, Susie Zaremba, Julie Gardner and Steve Peters.
All decisions of the judges are final.

TEACHER GRANTS PROVIDE SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS
Each Fall and Spring teachers put together grant proposals and submit them to the CVPO and/or the foundation for the necessary materials, equipment or support needed to improve their classroom teaching. Help us fund more of those grants!

CV PRINCIPAL USES FUNDS FOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
CVHS Principal, Cherie Stroud, has big plans for CV, and many of them are embodied in the School Improvement Plan. Discretionary funds for the Principal's fund will help her pay for some of the improvements, and will also allow her to work with students to forgive fees and fines that can get in the way of focusing on academics.

CV TEACHERS REQUEST TRAINING
Show the love for CV teachers and students by supporting the CV Teacher Development fund. Teacher development is important for teacher retention, improved instruction and revitalizing content, all leading to improved student learning.
